P\u00f4vodne boli tieto roboty vyv\u00edjan\u00e9 pre arm\u00e1du s cie\u013eom umo\u017eni\u0165 dia\u013ekov\u00e9 oper\u00e1cie zranen\u00fdch vojakov v po\u013en\u00fdch nemocniciach. Av\u0161ak \u010doskoro sa preuk\u00e1zali viacer\u00e9 v\u00fdhody robotickej oper\u00e1cie v porovnan\u00ed so \u0161tandardn\u00fdm z\u00e1krokom, ktor\u00e9 predur\u010dili \u010fal\u0161\u00ed v\u00fdvoj a dnes chirurg realizuje robotick\u00fd opera\u010dn\u00fd z\u00e1krok v tej istej miestnosti ako pacient. Medzi v\u00fdhody patria zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e1 sterilita a skr\u00e1ten\u00fd \u010das oper\u00e1cie, ako aj celkovo men\u0161\u00ed z\u00e1sah do organizmu, z \u010doho vypl\u00fdva krat\u0161ia doba rekonvalescencie.
