New ID.7 models – Tourer station wagon, dynamic GTX with all-wheel drive and ID.7 Pro S with the longest range.
ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S – 86 instead of 77 kWh. Until now, the ID.7 was only available in the “Pro” version with a 210 kW (286 hp) electric motor and a lithium-ion battery with a net capacity of 77 kWh. The new ID.7 Pro S version7, which, like the other versions of the ID.7 series, is also available with a station wagon body, labeled Tourer, has a battery with a larger capacity of 86 kWh net (91 kWh gross). The larger battery has contributed to a significant increase in range. Station wagon ID.7 Tourer Pro S8 has a combined range of up to 690 km4, the ID.7 Pro S sedan up to 709 km4This makes both versions of the ID.7 Pro S comparable in performance to combustion engine cars. Charging power increased from the ID.7 Pro (175 kW) to 200 kW5 allows the larger battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent of its capacity in around 26 minutes at a direct current (DC) fast charging station. The standard equipment of the ID.7 Pro S corresponds to the previous ID.7 Pro models.
ID.7 Tourer – the first electric station wagon from Volkswagen. The ID.7 Tourer is one of the first European electric cars with a station wagon body in the upper middle class. It differs significantly from the sedan in the rear part of the body. The design is characterized by a long roof line and its elegant transition into the tailgate. The length, width, height and wheelbase as well as all power units are identical to the ID.7 sedan.
Stylistically, the Tourer body type represents a fusion of the classic Variant station wagon as presented by the new Passat with the dynamic Shooting Brake version in the spirit of the Arteon model. By increasing the height of the body at the rear, the luggage compartment volume has increased compared to the sedan with a flowing rear part of the body. The ID.7 Tourer has a basic luggage compartment volume of up to 605 liters with a less inclined position of the rear backrests (the so-called Cargo position). After folding the rear backrests and loading up to the ceiling, a maximum volume of up to 1714 liters is available. The permissible roof load is 75 kg; to further increase the transport capacity, customers can order an electrically unlocked folding towbar for an additional fee. Depending on the engine, the permissible braked trailer weight is 1000 kg or 1400 kg (ID.7 GTX).
GTX in the ID.7 series – just 5.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. The new ID.7 GTX limousine9 and the ID.7 GTX Tourer estate10 are currently the most powerful electric models from Volkswagen. Optimum traction thanks to the all-wheel drive with two electric motors, providing a system output of 250 kW (340 hp), allows the sedan to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. The ID.7 GTX Tourer estate can do this in 5.5 seconds. Both versions have a top speed electronically limited to 180 km/h for efficient energy use.
Two electric motors for superior traction and high efficiency. The ID.7 GTX models are powered by two electric motors. The rear wheels are driven by a synchronous permanent magnet APP550 electric motor with an output of 210 kW (286 hp) and a maximum torque of 545 Nm, just like the other ID.7 models. The front wheels are driven by an asynchronous AKA150 electric motor with an output of 80 kW (109 hp) and a maximum torque of 134 Nm. The drive control unit engages the front electric motor in a fraction of a second when necessary, while the control limits the maximum system output to 250 kW (340 hp) for efficiency. When the asynchronous electric motor on the front axle is switched off, it produces only minimal losses, contributing to the high efficiency of the 4MOTION electric drive.
86 kWh battery and charging power up to 200 kW5. Like the rear-wheel drive ID.7 Pro S, the ID.7 GTX has a new battery with a usable capacity of 86 kWh net. This amount of energy gives the sedan a combined range of up to 595 km according to WLTP.4The range of the ID.7 GTX Tourer station wagon is only slightly shorter – 584 km4.
Exclusive design and rich equipment of the ID.7 GTX. The top models of the ID.7 series can be distinguished from the other versions at first glance by the specific design of the front and rear of the body. This is helped by the front bumper with a diamond grille and arrow-shaped daytime running lights on the sides. The standard adaptive "IQ Light LED Matrix" headlights are complemented by illuminated VW logos on the front and tailgate as new light graphic elements. Typical GTX design elements are the glossy black sill extensions and the rear diffuser. Like the ID.3 GTX, the ID.7 GTX also has 20-inch wheels in the "Skagen" design as standard. The self-adhesive tires are 235/45 R 20 at the front and 255/40 R 20 at the rear. 21-inch "Mataro" wheels with 235/40 R 21 tires at the front and 265/35 R 21 at the rear are available as an option. A two-tone paint finish with a contrasting black cab roof is a standard design feature.
The cabin features electrically adjustable and heated sports seats covered in exclusive GTX fabric with perforated GTX lettering on the backrest and a specific multifunction steering wheel. The entire interior is decorated with subtle red elements and red stitching on the seats, door trim, steering wheel and dashboard. The atmosphere in the cabin is completed by ambient lighting with 30 adjustable colors. The standard progressive steering contributes to optimal handling of the dynamic model.
